our society stratifies everyone so early on, and our young gets
saddled with different labels with connotations about different
levels of future achievements so early on in life ...
some of his students told of teachers who told them to just shut up
and stay at the back of the class, who were excused from homework,
who branded their students as hopeless cases, who told them they
would never amount to anything in life, who advised them not to
take O' levels cos they were going to fail anyways .... when the
authority figure treats you as such, is it any surprise that these
students would come to disrespect authority ? ...
